PostHog

PostHog is where a marketing claim meets what people actually did. It is the connector that tells an agent whether the users a campaign brought came back on the second day.

What Kwern reads

Product analytics, per day

The product analytics of one project, as counts per day.

Every event name

Every event name the project has seen, each kept as its own daily line.

Kept day by day

active users, new users, sessions, events, paywall views, paywall viewers, one line per event name. Every day ever seen is kept and never windowed, so a range you ask for a year from now still answers.

What Kwern can change

Nothing

Nothing. The grant Kwern holds reads and cannot write, so there is no proposal that ends here.

How the connection is made

Connecting the account

One click through PostHog's authorization, on the region your project lives in. Kwern is a public client with no secret: the client id is the address of a metadata document Kwern publishes.

Binding it to a product

A PostHog project.

What Kwern never does

Never a write

Kwern never writes to PostHog. The grant it holds is read-only.

Nothing per person

No person is read: the queries return counts, never a profile.
